The event will include a small group dinner with the Broncos at the Weborg Center. There will only be 18 tickets sold for this event. After the dinner the fundraiser will be moved to Backaracks where there will be a silent auction of several donated items. A Facebook page will be set up for selling tickets and promoting the event. There will also be some radio spots on KNEB leading up to the event.
President Ewing led a discussion about meals for our Shrine meetings this year. Some members had expressed that they liked eating at the Shrine building, some preferred meals at a restaurant, some liked both locations, and some thought we could do without the meals at meetings. The consensus of members present was to have meetings at both the Shrine building and local restaurants. President Ewing also noted that some meetings would not include a meal. Meeting times, locations, and meal information will be included on the monthly postcard reminders sent out each week.
President Ewing also shared upcoming Arby fundraiser dates. Noble Frank Wooden agreed to chair the upcoming events.
Lady Lori Greenman asked the club for permission to use the Shrine building for a party to sell cleaning supplies. As part of the meeting the restrooms and building gets cleaned using the featured cleaning products. There will also be a donation made to the club. There was a motion by Noble Dave Thomas and second by Noble Kent Greenwalt to approve the request. All ayes, motion carried.
Noble Don Loos discussed the upcoming cornerstone ceremony for Scottsbluff High School. The ceremony will include a time capsule, and a 2017 club handbook will be included in the time capsule. The ceremony will take place on March 3, at 3:00 PM.
